SHARE - Success & Happiness by Activating Regional Economy

The Telecommunication Technology Committee (TTC) first began its activities based on the slogan "Let's SHARE - Success & Happiness by Activating Regional Economy- together". Through the cooperation among five countries in Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam) and with the support of the Asia- Pacific Telecommunity (APT), TTC has been conducting ICT pilot projects in rural areas, with solutions for social issues in Agriculture, Aquaculture, Environment, Health, Education and constructing Telecommunications infrastructure.

Overseen by the CST since its inception in 2008, SHARE projects have been implemented from the point of how to use the latest ICT developments to improve people's lives and bringing more happiness in developing countries and how to implement the latest technologies, systems and services that are cost effective towards that goal.

These goals were realized through the development of various case studies enabled by APT funding, which were implemented in each country. The solutions created and deployed were extended to neighbouring Asia countries upon completion.

TTC has actively partaken in these projects as part of an effort to extract essential standardization and/ or documentation factors for bringing better lives in rural areas with ICT. These models are built based on knowledge sharing among APT members and can be applied widely in developing countries as “standard” models.
