Associate Professor Dr Asanee Kawtrakul is an Associate Professor of Computer Engineering at Kasetsart University and Advisor of NECTEC. She is the leader of Service Research Innovation, Thailand (SRI Thailand) and is also the director of UKnow Center: Center of Excellence for Unified Knowledge and Language Engineering at Kasetsart University. Her current research focuses primarily on unifying language processing technologies with Knowledge Engineering to support knowledge acquisition and management. She has led various large-scale research projects, looking at bringing researches off the shelf and applying it to real problem solving for the industry, government, enterprise and social community. She has also initiated various collaborative efforts in Thailand with FAO, UN agencies and other international institutions such as National Institute of Informatics (NII), Nagoya University of Japan, University Joseph Fourier, GETALP, LIG-campus, IRIT, Institut de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse, and Laboratoire LE21 (UMR-CNRS), University of Bourgogne, France. 


Professor Dr Khairuddin Ab Hamid is currently Vice Chancellor, University Malaysia of Computer Science and Engineering (UniMy). He was the former Vice Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). He has published extensively in journals, proceedings, books, technology guidebooks and encyclopedia and is active in research work related to rural informatics, wireless technology and renewable energy. He was a member of Asian Info-communications Council and is currently an expert consultant for Telecommunications Technology Committee of Japan to carry out rural ICT projects in ASEAN countries. He is also Chairman of the National ICT Human Resource Taskforce, Chairman of the Technical Committee on Collaboration between Malaysia and Infosys Technologies, India and Chairman of Expert Panel on Human Capital Development under the National Information Technology Council. He is also a member of the National Science and Research Council and National Higher Education Council. 


Professor Dr Gregory Tangonan has had 32 years of R&D experience with Hughes Research Laboratories. He retired in 2003 as Director of Research with responsibilities for Innovation Strategy and conceptualization and execution of Research Programs with collaborators world-wide and is an expert in a wide variety of fields like fiber optics, wireless communications, material science, and laser applications. He has twice won the prestigious R&D 100 Award, in 1996 for all-optical switching modules that were developed for the world's first demonstration of large scale all-optical networking and the second R&D 100 Award was in 1998 for secure fiber optic systems that can detect intrusions into the fiber while transmitting clear data. Dr Tangonan joined Ateneo de Manila University as Professor in the School of Science and Engineering and is the Founding Director of the Ateneo Innovation Center. He is presently the Executive Director of the Commission on Science and Technology and Engineering for the Philippines.
